Weddings on the lake or weddings by the ocean make beautiful locations for destination weddings or bridal portrait sessions. This was our bride from last Saturday photographed at the beautiful Lake Norman location The Point. Lots of Charlotte area brides are chosing the wonderful scenes by the lake to exchange their vows.
We wish Crystal and Binko a hundred years of happiness!

Cutting the Cheese
Stowe Botanical Gardens in Belmont, North Carolina is one of the South East Premier wedding locations and brides and grooms always add their own personal touches that make it unique. This couples wedding was simple but elegant and full of fun! They had a candy bar and a photo booth but the most unusual aspect of their day was their wedding cake! It was made entirely of 50 lbs of PURE CHEESE! Five different types shaped and colored with flowers and cheese vines…it was stunning!
The couple wanted “something different” and they got it both with their cake and by choosing Image Gallery as the engagement, bridal and wedding day photographers.

A December Bride…happy, confident and radiating! It was a wonderful day with flurries and fun. Melissa and Josh had a first glance moment prior to thier ceremony that was just touching and magical. Enjoy a few of the images from our last wedding of 2010. Tune in soon to see our NEW FUSION Video of this wedding…the newest product at Image Gallery.
Vendors we loved from this event are the amazing ladies from Poffie Girls and the Mt. Holly Grand Hall.

A couple of notes:
Please bring your DSLR camera if possible and please read your instruction book that came with your camera
and learn the most you can about your camera before you come to class.
This class is limited to 10 people and expected to fill up fast.
Send us an email or facebook message or call 704-869-8968 for more info or to sign up.
To be honest we love all of our brides, they’re stylish and beautiful and we have been to some really great weddings. Erin’s was no exception. She and Andy got hitched at Baker Buffalo Creek in Fallston, NC (Cleveland County). You probably won’t believe this, but I’ve actually narrowed down the pictures I’m posting a lot.
So here are a few from Erin’s bridal session. She makes us look GOOD
.
On to the big day…
And we like Andy too of course!
Check out the cool Mason jar arch!

Best wishes Erin and Andy!
We shot a great wedding in Concord, NC. Stephanie {the bride} and Jeffrey {the groom} are a fun couple who where up for absolutely anything. They didn’t even mind when the minister got a little tongue-tied and called them “Jeffanie” during the ceremony; thus coining their celebrity couple nickname.
So here are my personal
3 Favorite Things About The Layden/Luck Wedding:
3. The Details:
Stephanie has great taste and chose beautiful flowers, shoes, jewelry… I loved it all.

2. The Cute Wedding Party
These pictures pretty much cover it.
1. The Couple
Their names are Stephanie and Jeff, and they came to party. These two gave us lots of time to get cool shots, danced like crazy at their reception, and kept me cracking up the whole night.
At i.g., we do lots of different kinds of pictures: maternity, families, kids, weddings. What I’m saying is we do a lot more than just high school seniors, but I have to admit, we do good high school seniors, and I love to put them on the blog. I can’t resist posting Meredith’s pictures any longer. For these, i.g. shot on location at the stables where Meredith works part time.
So here is sweet Meredith:
Beautiful right? Some people get all the luck… and all the strawberry blonde hair… and all the blue eyes…
Hair and makeup by Becky from William Henry Signature Salon and Spa in Belmont, NC.
{Seriously, go see her, she cut my hair this morning and she’s great.}
We have been working with Rocks Magazine lately to create their “Carolina Girl” Calendar. While the photographs in the calendar will ultimatley feature the Carolina Girls themselves, we can’t share those with the internet world yet. Last night we photographed Renee from Organic Marketplace and what we can give you is a little sneak peak at the prop she brought along. A 1964 Carolina blue Ford Galaxy.
Taylor here! I have one of the best jobs in the world working for one of the best photography studios in the world. Part of that job will be writing most of the blog entries for i.g.
With school starting back in Gaston, Lincoln, and Mecklenburg counties this week, we’ve been hearing a lot from the class of 2011 about how it feels to be top dog. My youngest brother is a high school senior this year and I recently asked how his first day of school went. “Did you knock over any freshman today?”, I said jokingly. He replied, “Maybe, I don’t know. I was doing Hardcore Parkour (a sort of “extreme walking”) through the halls all day so… possibly.” It feels good to be a senior, right? That kind of excitement and individuality is what we try to capture in all of our senior sessions here at i.g. So, in the name of “back to school” time, here are two seniors we recently photographed.
First, an East Gaston grad, Emily.
I love Emily’s dress! All of her outfits were really cute and she has a great sense of style.
Around the studio we’ve been calling this “the Twilight picture” – it’s a little dark, a little edgy. And I haven’t read Stephenie Meyer’s novels, but from what I hear vampires are really really ridiculously good-looking. Everytime we are talking to a parent or student about a senior session, we always have to bring out the Twilight picture to show off.
And now Macy.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Macy since she was a really little girl. It was fun to be a part of her shoot and see what a beautiful, intelligent woman she has become!
Our photographers are always trying to scope out new and unexpected locations for shoots. Scott (who photographed Macy) has been using the Gastonia Post Office across the street for lots of seniors and brides lately.
Oh, and she brought her cute dog who was really well behaved.
Congratulations to Emily, Macy, my hardcore baby brother, and the entire class of 2011! Twelve years down and only one more to go (:
Our last class was awesome an attended by 9 great photographers who loved this class and said it made a huge difference in their work.
We will be booking our next class soon, so stay tuned to get the date or email with questions.
Push it to the next level!

We will work with several models in studio and outdoors. There will be posing ideas, lighting lessons and photoshop retouching taught all in this five hour session that will change your photography forever!
Call 704-869-8968 or stop by to register today class size is limited. $75 if pre-registered. $85 after that or at the door
(that’s their favorite song!!)
We had the pleasure to photograph Heather and Jeremy last week for the first of two engagement sessions. They were too much fun and look GREAT! There are already a ton of great images for them to chose from and we are still looking forward to their next session at Winthrop in Rock Hill! We have an incredible Engagament promotion right now, so if you or someone you know is getting engaged call or email us! Remember we are available for travel ANYWHERE!
Did you know we do lifestyle sessions and studio sessions? For your family session don’t you want to use someone trained for both!!
This is one of our past bride and grooms and one of our favorite families. This session was fun and the colors were just amazing. Large wall portrait of this one! We hope to be doing their portraits for years to come!
Downtown Gastonia has become for us a virtual playground of awesome locations to photograph!! The various parks and restaurants being built are cool places and then even walls and alleys provide great backgrounds.
We had an awesome afternoon just recently in G-Town with the Lewandowski kids. Mom came and picked up their wall portrait yesterday and we thought we would share this adorable image with everyone!

and summer is just around the corner! It is not too late to join us in the garden! We have the very special opportunity to use a local downtown home that has fabulous gardens and fountains for portrait sessions! Little Miss Leigh had an amazing adventure in the garden and we got some incredible images….I told her grandma she was going to have to bring her BIG pocketbook!
It was a great Sunday afternoon with the Clary family recently at Oak Island. The weather and the sky was perfect and the session was tons of fun. We will be going back for more sessions in a couple of weeks and have two spots open for appointments. Don’t miss out on this one a year photographic opportunity of a lifetime!

Scott, Dodie and Alicia recently spent the afternoon at one of the areas finest private schools, Gaston Day. There they had the opportunity to tour the campus and photograph some of the schools most talented students. See more of this session at this weekends International Festival at Gaston Day School. Saturday, November 22nd on the campus.
Ethan was here at the Image Gallery recently with his mom Jennifer to be our perfect little pumpkin model for the new fall set that we will use on October 31st during the COSTUMES FOR A CURE. This is our annual Susan G. Komen fundraiser. Bring your little one in on October 31st anytime between 2 PM and 7PM. There is a $25 session fee that includes a 5 x 7 print for you and a $10 donation to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
We had the amazing opportunity to spend the evening with newly engaged couple Jessica and Chris on Thursday in downtown Belmont. The ig paparazzi team was able to capture this fun couples afternoon in the park and have some incredible images to share with them soon. We are super excited to have Jessica and Chris as one of the Image Gallery’s spring 2009 weddings.
